The studio is quiet, the smell of oil, and slow light travelling across the wall through the day. Every canvas begins from a single note of colour and grows until it finds its stillness.

Kateryna has worked in oils for over fifteen years. Landscapes, still lifes and portraits are born slowly, layer by layer, in the classical school of composition.

Her work is not about subject but about light — the brief morning light that touches a wall and is gone. She paints what she wants to hold onto.
